This session will focus on moving out of being a hack-it-together, plugin developer to building your own from scratch. I spent many years finding plugins that did some or most of what I wanted then tearing apart their code and making it do what I want. My talk shows the downfalls of this method and why it can be detrimental to a website. I will end the session with a 10 minute demo showing how to build a super simple plugin and how you lay out a base for building a bigger, more complex plugin.
